I like to make short films that bring to the surface the strange undercurrents of everyday life. My most recent film is A Man for the Job, completed in 2023 and supported by a University of Missouri-Kansas City Funding for Excellence Grant.

Over the past twenty years, my films have screened and won awards at film festivals across the U.S., such as the Ann Arbor Film Festival, the Black Maria Film Festival, and South by Southwest. My films have screened some internationally as well, at the Seoul International Women’s Film Festival, the At the Fringe International Arts Festival, and the Dawson City International Short Film Festival, among others. Some grants I have been awarded in support of my work are a Rocket Grant, an Arts KC Inspiration Grant, and an Individual Artist Grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.

Education-wise, I have an M.F.A. in Film and Video Production from the University of Iowa. I live in Kansas City, where I’m a Professor of Film and Media Arts at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

There’s more.
